“Bass Reeves” Nominated in Wild Bunch Film Festival
“Bass Reeves and the Brunter Brothers,” Episode 6 of the Tales of the Wild West, has been nominated in nine categories at The Wild Bunch Film Festival. The annual film festival recognizes western films from around the world. One-Eyed Horse previously won big at the 2019 Film Festival, where Bill Tilghman and the Outlaws won seven awards. This year’s nominations for “Bass Reeves” include Best Western Short, Best Actor in a Western Short, and Best Director.

Bass Reeves follows U.S. Deputy Marshal Bass Reeves and lawman Wyatt Earp as they set out to find the notorious outlaw gang The Brunter Brothers. The short film will be screened during the 2021 Film Festival, September 30-October 3 at the Willcox Historic Theater in Willcox, Arizona. Winners will be announced at the award show on October 3.
