Day Of The Gun

DAY OF THE GUN SCREENING: Star Theater in Berkeley Springs, WV on Sunday January 15, 2017 at 2pm!

Day Of The GunSAVE THE DATE! Shot in Maryland and Montana, Day of the Gun features veteran actor Eric Roberts as Abraham Tanner, who returns from the shadowy past of a widowed ranch owner to help settle a score.

One-Eyed Horse Productions is pleased to announce that its indie western Day of the Gun will return to the historic Star Theatre, 37 N Washington St., Berkeley Springs, WV 25411 on Sunday January 15 at 2 pm.   The event will also serve to introduce the Berkeley Springs community to OEH Productions’ new project Bill Tilghman and the Outlaws, the majority of which will shoot in 2017 in Berkeley Springs.  Those attending are invited to attend in costume reflecting 1914 Oklahoma.  Patrons choosing to come as townsfolk, shopkeepers, saloon workers, ranchers, public servants, ranch hands, miners (choose an appropriate “look”) will be photographed and considered for background action and featured roles in the picture.  To allow time for gathering photos and information, The Star will open its doors at 12:30.  The production team will be on hand to answer questions about the project.  Tickets are $5.00 and will be available at the door.
Day of the Gun tells the story of widowed ranch owner Maggie Carter (LaDon Hall) who, in her struggle to survive, demands that local cattle baron Cyrus McCall (Jim Osborn) remove a barbed wire fence he has put up to deter rustlers.  Maggie contends that the wire is across open range and threatens her livelihood.  She promises, “There will be Hell to pay” if it doesn’t come down.  Before the range war actually begins, however, tragedy strikes Maggie’s family.  In desperation, Maggie summons a dark stranger (Eric Roberts) from her veiled past to even the score.
Day of the Gun features many fine actors from Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, and Pennsylvania as well as Academy Award nominee Eric Roberts.  While the majority of the picture was shot locally, our second unit provided the Montana vistas that carry us back to a world both beautiful and harsh.
